About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers products by car to customers’ doors and may distribute flyers and door hangers. The role also performs general store team-member and customer-service duties, including operating equipment, stocking ingredients and supplies, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. Team members may advance from delivery driver to management and potentially franchise ownership.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses in the designated delivery area.
• Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying products.
• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and coworkers.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
• Ability to make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination between eyes and hands or fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, sitting for paperwork, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, stooping, bending, crouching, squatting, and reaching.
• Ability to handle cases of ingredients and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds and carry pizzas and beverages during deliveries.
• Ability to navigate five or more flights of stairs during deliveries when required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products by car to customers’ doors within the designated delivery area; a team member may make several deliveries per shift.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers.
• Operate store equipment and stock ingredients and supplies from delivery areas to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products and receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Communicate with customers and coworkers in person and by telephone to process orders.
• Unload bulk deliveries using a hand truck and move, carry, push, or pull supplies and trays as needed.
• Perform other duties covered by the customer service representative description and other duties that may arise.
