About The Position

Delivery drivers deliver pizzas and provide customer service while supporting the general operation of the store. The role may be part-time or full-time, and schedules are described as flexible around team members’ other activities. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The position offers opportunities for advancement, including into management and franchise ownership.

Team members operate store equipment; stock ingredients and supplies; prepare products; receive and process telephone orders; take inventory and complete paperwork; and clean equipment and the facility. The work involves in-store tasks and outside delivery-related duties in varying weather and temperatures, along with frequent standing, walking, reaching, and use of the hands. Drivers need to navigate the designated delivery area and adverse terrain, including multistory buildings.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Must have navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses in the delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain, including multistory buildings.
• Must be able to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and coworkers to process orders by phone and in person.
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, and make correct monetary change.
• Must have verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Must have motor coordination to make precise, rapid movements and be able to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen.
• Must be able to stand for most tasks, walk short distances, and perform the described physical tasks, including lifting and carrying supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality-control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Must be able to talk and hear on the telephone, use near- and mid-range vision, judge depth, and differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pizzas to customers within the designated delivery area.
• Operate store equipment and stock ingredients and supplies in storage areas, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products.
• Receive and process telephone orders and communicate with customers and coworkers in person and by phone.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Unload and stock deliveries, using a hand truck as needed.
• Perform other outside tasks, including removing trash.
