About The Position
The Delivery Driver operates equipment; stocks and rotates ingredients from delivery to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler; prepares products; receives and processes telephone and internet orders; counts inventory; completes paperwork; and cleans equipment and the facility. On-the-job training includes customer service orientation, an interactive computer program, and hands-on practice. The role requires communicating with customers and coworkers by phone and in person, safely driving the employee’s own vehicle, navigating roads and maps and handling varied delivery-site terrain and stairs while carrying products, and accurately calculating monetary change, with a calculator permitted. Requirements
- Ability to comprehend and communicate verbally and in writing with customers and coworkers, by phone and in person.
- Ability to safely drive own vehicle.
- Ability to navigate roads and maps, adverse terrain, and delivery-site stairs while carrying products.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately to make correct monetary change; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to perform the listed physical demands, including standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing, stooping, bending, crouching, squatting, reaching, grasping, and tolerating varying temperatures and conditions indoors and outdoors.
