About The Position
The Delivery Driver operates equipment, stocks ingredients from the delivery area in storage and work areas, prepares products, receives and processes telephone orders, takes inventory, and completes related paperwork. The role includes cleaning equipment and the facility approximately daily. The driver delivers products by car to customers’ doors, distributes flyers and door hangers, and uses maps and navigational skills to locate addresses within the designated delivery area. The role requires navigating varied terrain, including multistory buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying products. The employee also communicates with customers and coworkers in person and by phone and processes orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands or fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to comprehend and provide correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers to process orders by phone and in person.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate varied terrain, including multistory buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying products.
