About The Position
The Delivery Driver operates store equipment, stocks ingredients and supplies, prepares products, receives and processes telephone orders, takes inventory, and completes related paperwork. The role also includes cleaning equipment and the facility, delivering products by car to customers, and distributing flyers and door hangers. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The position involves working in a restaurant environment with varying temperatures, food-related odors and dust, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Most tasks are performed standing, with frequent short-distance walking and reaching. The role also involves lifting and carrying supplies and food, pushing or pulling trays on dollies, driving, and occasionally navigating stairs or ladders. Delivery work may require carrying orders and navigating five or more flights of stairs.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders by phone and in person.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying products.
- Ability to work independently and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
- Ability to lift and handle deliveries weighing up to 50 pounds, with cases stacked on shelves up to 72 inches high.
- Ability to perform the physical activities described, including standing, walking, driving, carrying, pushing or pulling, climbing, bending, crouching, and reaching.
Responsibilities

- Unload bulk product deliveries using a hand truck and stock cases on shelves.
- Carry food and beverages during deliveries and navigate delivery locations.
