About The Position
The Delivery Driver is responsible for operating all equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing product, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, and cleaning equipment and the facility. A key part of this role involves delivering product by car to customer doors and distributing flyers and door hangers. The position requires a valid driver's license with a safe driving record, access to an insured vehicle for deliveries, and involves on-the-job training. Essential skills include accurate and quick mathematical abilities for making change, strong verbal and written communication for order processing, good motor coordination, computer/touch screen proficiency, and navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses within the delivery area, including navigating multi-story buildings and various delivery sites while carrying product.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Access to insured vehicle which can be used for delivery.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
- Must be able to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area.
- Must navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes and other delivery sites while carrying product.
Responsibilities
