About The Position

This role involves a variety of tasks including operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, taking phone orders, inventory management, and cleaning. The position requires strong communication and essential functional skills, including accurate mathematical calculations and the ability to use a computer keyboard or touch screen for order entry. The work environment can involve varying temperatures, fumes, dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Sensory requirements include talking and hearing on the phone, and near/mid-range vision. Temperaments needed are the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze data, and make judgments. The job primarily involves standing and walking, with some sitting for paperwork. Lifting and carrying of ingredients and products up to 50 pounds is required. Driving for deliveries is also a part of the role, along with pushing, climbing stairs, stooping/bending, crouching/squatting, and reaching. Hand tasks requiring eye-hand coordination are continuous, including shaping dough, using tools, and assembling boxes. Team members may use pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutters, and pizza peels.

Requirements

  • Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
  • Must be able to make correct monetary change.
  • Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
  • Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
  • Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.

Responsibilities

  • Operate all equipment.
  • Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk-in cooler.
  • Prepare product.
  • Receive and process telephone orders.
  • Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
  • Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
