About The Position

Empire Distributors Inc., a leading beverage distributor, is hiring a Route Delivery Driver for its Austell/Atlanta facility. The driver delivers beer, wine, liquor, and point-of-sale items to customer businesses, collects returnable containers, handles customer payments and receipts, and helps resolve service issues. The position offers a $54,000 starting salary, potential bonus of $1,500, home nightly, and no weekends. No CDL is required. Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to obtain a DOT Card.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and plan delivery routes and deliver products to customers.
Drive a truck to deliver beer, wine, liquor, and point-of-sale items to customer businesses.
Collect returnable items and empty containers and transport them to the distribution center for consolidation and shipment to suppliers.
Inspect loads and ensure products are properly packed and secured to reduce breakage and vehicle damage.
Inventory truck contents, retrieve overages, and account for shortages.
Review truck contents to ensure the vehicle is loaded correctly.
Check the distribution of weight and products to ensure the vehicle is safe and stable.
Collect and coordinate customer payments and record transactions on customer receipts.
Record delivery information using the provided delivery record.
Listen to and resolve service complaints, resolving issues when possible.
Coordinate customer comments and service issues with transportation management for resolution.
Issue or obtain customer signatures on pickup or delivery receipts.
Perform preventive maintenance and safety checks, including DOT-regulated pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Use telematics devices, including for delivery routes and driver logs.
Perform other duties as assigned by Transportation Management.
