About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers products by car to customers’ doors and distributes flyers and door hangers. The role also performs general hourly store-team duties, including operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The position requires communicating with customers and coworkers in person and by telephone, processing orders, handling money accurately, and entering orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen. Drivers need to navigate to addresses within a designated delivery area and handle varied delivery locations and terrain. The work involves driving, walking, carrying products, and sometimes climbing stairs, as well as the physical demands and environmental exposures described in the posting.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for deliveries.
Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying products.
Ability to understand and provide correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and coworkers.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, and make correct monetary change.
Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Physical ability to stand, walk, carry products, climb stairs, and perform the other physical tasks described in the posting; bulk deliveries may weigh up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality-control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.

Responsibilities

Deliver products by car to customers’ doors within a designated delivery area.
Deliver flyers and door hangers.
Operate store equipment; stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler; and prepare products.
Receive and process telephone orders and communicate with customers and coworkers in person and by phone.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
Navigate to delivery addresses and carry pizzas, sides, and beverages between the store, vehicle, and customer location.
Unload bulk product deliveries using a hand truck and stock supplies.
