Delivery Driver (Class B)

About The Position

Horizon Forest Products is seeking a dependable Class B driver for its flooring delivery team. The role involves loading flooring bundles from the warehouse, transporting them to customer locations, and unloading them on arrival. Deliveries are local only. Drivers are expected to drive safely and communicate professionally and courteously with customers. Typical hours are Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Clean driving record.
DOT medical certification.
Ability to pass a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

Perform daily pre-trip truck inspections and alert the Ops Manager to maintenance, damage, or mechanical issues.
Unload orders at delivery sites according to customer needs and HFP safety protocols; job-site deliveries will mostly require hand loading.
Review orders before and after delivery to ensure they are complete, charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied.
Safely lift and carry up to 100 pounds repetitively.
Adhere to assigned routes and follow time schedules.
Maintain current driver and forklift certifications and follow HFP safety protocols.
Return paperwork, including payments, to the Ops Manager.
Abide by transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
Maintain log books and other documentation required by the DOT and HFP.
Perform other duties as directed by the Ops Manager.
