Delivery Driver (Class B)

About The Position

Horizon Forest Products is seeking a dependable Class B driver to join its flooring delivery team. The role involves loading flooring bundles from the warehouse, delivering them to customer locations, and unloading them on arrival. Deliveries are local only. Drivers are expected to operate safely and interact with customers professionally and courteously. Hours are typically Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Clean driving record.
DOT medical certification.
Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
Class B driver qualification, as specified in the role title and description.

Responsibilities

Perform daily pre-trip truck inspections and alert the Operations Manager to maintenance, damage, or mechanical issues.
Unload orders at delivery sites according to customer needs and HFP safety protocols; job-site deliveries mostly require hand loading.
Review orders before and after delivery to ensure they are complete, charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied.
Safely lift and carry up to 100 pounds repetitively.
Follow assigned routes and time schedules.
Maintain current driver and forklift certifications and follow HFP safety protocols.
Return paperwork, including payments, to the Operations Manager.
Follow transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
Maintain logbooks and other documentation required by the DOT and HFP.
Perform other duties as directed by the Operations Manager.
