About The Position
Domino’s is hiring a delivery driver to deliver orders and perform general store-team duties. The role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for career advancement, including progression into management. Training and orientation are provided on the job. Drivers need to navigate to addresses in the designated delivery area, including adverse terrain and multistory buildings. Store duties may include operating equipment, stocking and preparing products, taking and processing orders, completing inventory and paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. The work involves customer and coworker communication and can include exposure to varying weather, temperature changes, food odors, cornmeal dust, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Physical tasks include standing, walking, lifting and carrying supplies, moving trays, and infrequently using stairs or a ladder.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
- Must have two years of driver’s-license experience and a clean background.
- Must be able to read maps and locate addresses in the delivery area, including navigating adverse terrain and multistory buildings.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and coworkers.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination and precision to make rapid, accurate movements; ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks, work alone or with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
- Ability to meet the described physical demands, including standing, walking, lifting and carrying supplies, pushing or pulling trays, and infrequently navigating stairs or a ladder.
Responsibilities
- Deliver orders within the designated delivery area.
- Operate store equipment and stock ingredients and supplies in storage and work areas.
- Prepare products.
- Receive and process telephone orders, including entering orders by keyboard or touch screen.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
- Navigate delivery routes, addresses, adverse terrain, and multistory buildings.
- Unload and move deliveries using a hand truck; carry supplies and move trays as needed.
- Communicate with customers and coworkers in person and over the phone.
