The Delivery Driver delivers products by car to customers’ doors within a designated delivery area and may make several deliveries per shift. The role also includes delivering flyers and door hangers, maintaining customer relations, and following company policies and procedures. Drivers must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record that meets company standards and access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery. Like other store team members, the driver operates equipment; stocks ingredients and supplies; prepares products; receives and processes telephone orders; takes inventory and completes paperwork; and helps clean equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The position involves working in a store environment with varying temperatures, food-related odors and dust, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. It also involves driving and navigating stairs and other delivery sites, sometimes in adverse weather. The work requires frequent standing, walking, reaching, and hand use, along with occasional lifting and carrying loads up to 50 pounds, pushing or pulling trays, stooping, crouching, and climbing. Delivery personnel carry pizzas and beverages and may need to navigate five or more flights of stairs. Team members are expected to maintain cost, inventory, cash, and food controls; work to a schedule; uphold store standards and cleanliness; provide great customer service; and maintain attendance and punctuality.
