About The Position
The Delivery Driver operates equipment and performs a range of duties that support food preparation, order processing, inventory, cleaning, and delivery. The role includes stocking and rotating ingredients from delivery to storage areas and the walk-in cooler; preparing products; receiving and processing telephone and internet orders; counting inventory; completing paperwork; and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job training includes customer service orientation, an interactive computer program, and hands-on practice. Customer service duties require safely driving the employee’s own vehicle and navigating roads, maps, adverse terrain, and stairs at delivery sites while carrying products. The position requires accurate basic arithmetic to make monetary change, with a calculator permitted.
Requirements
- Ability to safely drive an own vehicle.
- Ability to navigate roads, maps, adverse terrain, and stairs at delivery sites while carrying products.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately to make monetary change; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, lift, carry, push, climb ladders and stairs, stoop or bend, crouch or squat, reach, and grasp with hands to use machines, tools, equipment, and work aids.
- Ability to tolerate varying temperatures and conditions indoors and outdoors.
