Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A
- Solid math skills to handle customer transactions accurately.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
- Working knowledge of GPS and routing software.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to adapt communication styles.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions while adhering to safety regulations.
- Physically fit to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and manage up to 350-500 pounds with a two-wheel cart.
- Good driving record.
- Successfully complete a background check, MVR, pre-employment lift evaluations, and pre-employment DOT drug screening.
Nice To Haves
- A year of experience in a transportation role is preferred.
- Food product delivery experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Begin workday with pre-trip inspections, reviewing route and customer invoices, and confirming vehicle meets all DOT safety requirements.
- Safely and efficiently complete Friday and Saturday deliveries.
- Provide outstanding customer service and represent Upper Lakes Foods with professionalism at every stop.
- Unload products with precision using a two-wheeler and organizing them in designated storage areas.
- Manage damaged goods, paperwork, and perform vital safety checks on the vehicle.
- Fuel up and secure the tractor/trailer.
- Build strong relationships within the team and community.
