About The Position

This position delivers products to customers from Sherwin-Williams stores using box and flat-bed trucks. The driver ensures deliveries are complete, correctly packed, and safely delivered to the right customer, while supporting customer satisfaction and transporting items safely and on time. The role includes customer contact and access to cash, payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, merchandise, and other items of value. The selected individual is expected to work at Store #705442, 176 N State Route 17, Paramus, NJ 07652.

The driver may also perform store and warehouse duties, including tinting and mixing customer orders and serving customers. The role requires a valid, unrestricted driver's license and a valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate, or willingness to obtain one within five business days of receiving a conditional offer. Candidates must be at least 21, legally authorized to work in the country without current or future visa sponsorship, able to meet the stated lifting requirements with or without reasonable accommodation, willing to work scheduled hours that may include evenings and weekends, and sufficiently proficient in English for public conversation, traffic signs and signals, official inquiries, and delivery records.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without current or future employment-visa sponsorship.
• Have a valid, unrestricted driver's license.
• Have a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate from a DOT-licensed medical examiner listed on the FMCSA National Registry, or be willing to obtain one within five business days of receiving a conditional offer.
• Be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 70 pounds occasionally.
• Be willing, with or without reasonable accommodation, to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends.
• Read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience working as a delivery driver.
• At least one year of work experience using material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, order pickers, vacu-hoists, drum dollies, or conveyor belts.
• Previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Prepare deliveries to meet customer requirements efficiently.
• Load customer orders properly onto the truck.

• Operate equipment and machines such as cars, trucks, and forklifts.
• Perform other store tasks, including warehouse duties, tinting and mixing customer orders, and waiting on customers.
