About The Position

Domino’s is hiring a delivery driver to serve customers in the Riverhead, New York area. The role offers a flexible schedule and may suit someone looking for a primary job or supplemental income. Drivers may have opportunities to advance into management or other roles. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. In addition to delivery duties, store team members operate equipment, stock and prepare ingredients and products, receive and process orders, take inventory, complete paperwork, and clean the equipment and facility. The work involves customer and coworker interaction, order entry, and maintaining quality standards. Work conditions may include varying weather, changing temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. The role includes standing, walking, occasional sitting for paperwork, lifting and carrying supplies, pushing or pulling trays, and infrequent stair or ladder use.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
Must be able to read maps, locate addresses, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers, including by telephone.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change.
Verbal, writing, and telephone skills for taking and processing orders.
Motor coordination to make rapid, accurate movements.
Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work independently and with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
Ability to lift and move deliveries weighing up to 50 pounds and perform the listed physical tasks.

Responsibilities

Deliver orders within the designated delivery area.
Use navigation skills to locate addresses and navigate varied terrain, including multi-story buildings.
Operate store equipment and stock ingredients and supplies from the delivery area to storage and work areas.
Prepare products and receive and process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete related paperwork.
Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
Communicate with customers and coworkers to process orders in person and over the phone.
Unload bulk product deliveries using a hand truck and move supplies to storage shelves.
Perform other store team-member duties as needed.
