About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers products by car to customers’ doors within a designated delivery area and may deliver flyers and door hangers. The role also includes general duties performed by store team members, such as operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The work involves communicating with customers and coworkers in person and by phone, entering orders on a computer keyboard or touch screen, handling payments and making change, and navigating addresses and delivery locations, including adverse terrain and multi-story buildings. The position requires working in varied indoor and outdoor conditions, including changing weather and temperatures, and involves regular standing, walking, reaching, carrying, and other physical activity.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
Have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
Have navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
Be able to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings and private homes, while carrying products.
Be able to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
Have verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Be able to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly, with a calculator if needed, and make correct monetary change.
Have motor coordination to make precise, rapid movements with speed and accuracy.
Be able to use a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders.
Be able to perform the physical tasks of the position, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, reaching, bending, and climbing.
