About The Position
The Delivery Driver delivers orders within a designated delivery area and provides customer service. The role requires being at least 18 years old, holding a valid driver's license with a safe driving record and at least two years of driving history, and having access to an insured vehicle for deliveries. Drivers need to read maps and use navigation apps to locate addresses, including while navigating adverse terrain and multi-story buildings. As a store team member, the driver may also operate equipment; stock ingredients in storage, work areas, and walk-in coolers; prepare products; receive and process telephone orders; complete paperwork; and clean designated items daily. The position involves communicating with customers and co-workers, processing orders by phone and in person, and providing customer service and service recovery. Advertised average pay is $16–$24 per hour, including tips and mileage, with weekly pay; tips and mileage are paid daily. Average pay varies by location, shift, and delivery volume.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
- Must have two years of driving history and meet company standards.
- Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
- Must be able to read a map, use navigation apps, locate addresses within the designated delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
- Strong customer service and service recovery skills.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, with a calculator if needed.
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands or fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
