About The Position
The Delivery Driver operates equipment, stocks ingredients from the delivery area in storage and work areas, and prepares products. The role receives and processes telephone orders, takes inventory, and completes associated paperwork. It also involves cleaning equipment and the facility approximately daily. The driver delivers products by car to customers’ doors and distributes flyers and door hangers. The role requires navigating to addresses within the designated delivery area and carrying products across varied terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites. The driver communicates with customers and coworkers in person and by phone and enters and processes orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands or fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying product.
