About The Position

Support IBT branch operations by coordinating deliveries, managing incoming shipments, and maintaining strong communication with customers, vendors, and team members to ensure efficient service and a positive experience. The role includes driving a pickup truck to make deliveries and interacting with industrial customers’ receiving personnel. A CDL is not required, but an active driver’s license is required. The position is full-time, typically Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., though hours may vary by location. Extended hours may be needed based on business needs. Minimal travel may be required for training or special projects. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

Requirements

Ability to understand technical products and explain them to others.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present information effectively and respond to customer questions and requests for information.
Ability to learn through written materials and online training.
Strong ability to use computers and technology to improve efficiency and communicate information, including Google and Microsoft Suites.
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Drive a 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton pickup truck to make deliveries and interact with industrial customers’ receiving personnel.
Receive daily truck, UPS, and FedEx freight and print pick tickets.
Assist in maintaining good vendor relations at the branch level.
Maintain open, productive communication between the Store Manager and other branch personnel.
Promote a positive attitude toward IBT coworkers, branches, vendors, and customers while promoting IBT’s products and services.
Keep the warehouse and delivery truck clean and maintained.
Perform other duties as assigned.
