About The Position
The Warehouse Delivery Driver increases operational efficiency, company profitability, and customer satisfaction by safely and accurately receiving, storing, and delivering materials, and by picking and packing orders for pickup and delivery. The role is based at Branch 58 in Ashland, Kentucky, is full-time, and offers $17.00–$18.00 per hour based on experience. The shift is day shift.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Warehouse experience required.
Nice To Haves
- Box truck or flatbed delivery driver experience.
- Customer service or sales experience.
- Plumbing or HVAC product knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Assist with and oversee loading trucks, securing items, and verifying the accuracy of shipping papers.
- Inspect truck tires, lights, brakes, fluids, and other items to support safe, cost-effective operation and preventive maintenance.
- Deliver orders using effective routes and meet established time frames and customer needs.
- Maintain communication with the company during deliveries to receive updated instructions.
- Document deliveries, order accuracy, and customer receipt according to company directives, and report discrepancies.
- Monitor truck maintenance and driving-record requirements and maintain documents required for safety, security, and quality processes.
- Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as required.
- Maintain a safe driving record free of violations.
- Pull, fill, pack, and set up orders for delivery or pickup.
- Follow special instructions for individual orders.
- Receive shipments.
- Report quality or inventory discrepancies to the appropriate person.
- Communicate positively with supervisors, sales staff, coworkers, and customers to coordinate deliveries and pickups.
- Help keep the facility clean, neat, safe, and operating efficiently.
- Follow established policies and safety guidelines in a drug-free workplace.
- Present a neat and professional image.
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
