About The Position

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Delivery Driver / Warehouse Associate drives and delivers pre-ordered products to assigned accounts, rotates and stocks products, and performs warehouse duties. The role calls for a professional with a positive attitude, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a competitive environment. The employee performs order selection and staging, operates warehouse equipment, prepares products for loading, delivers products to customers, and supports merchandising and account service. The position requires compliance with company and regulatory policies, safe equipment operation, daily account settlement, and attendance at required company and safety meetings. Work schedules may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and out-of-town work as needed. Employees are expected to remain on duty until assigned responsibilities are completed. Employment is contingent upon applicable background, drug-screening, and DOT requirements.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid Texas Driver’s License.
Driving record must meet MVR policy guidelines.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to work out of town and flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays, as needed.
Ability to remain on duty until assigned responsibilities are completed.
Must pass background and drug screening for hire and may be subject to random screening during employment.
Must meet applicable DOT compliance requirements.
Ability to repetitively lift, pull, and push up to 100 pounds.
Ability to reach above head height and frequently reach up to 72 inches, and to stand, walk, kneel, bend, squat, stoop, twist, and perform other frequent physical activity.

Ability to establish working relationships with accounts in the territory and aggressively grow and expand the territory.
Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a proven record of achieving sales and profit goals, distribution objectives, and positive relationships.

Nice To Haves

1–3 years of general work experience preferred.
Local delivery experience preferred.
Prior grocery store and/or consumer products experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Operate an assigned handheld unit to create and correctly place product labels.
Hand-select orders in non-temperature-controlled, temperature-controlled, and bonded holding areas.
Stack products on pallets according to proper selection procedures, including keeping heavy products off lighter products and labels facing outward.
Operate an electric pallet jack or forklift to transport products.
Stage selected pallets at the proper dock locations for loading.
Shrink-wrap products on the loading dock.
Check load accuracy and stability.
Deliver products to customers.
Merchandise, display, and rotate products according to company standards.
Invoice customers and collect monies due.
Pick up company property as required and secure company assets.
Settle all accounts daily.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures.
Follow preferred work methods and promptly report unsafe conditions to a supervisor.
Follow sanitation requirements and company policies.
Maintain and safely operate assigned equipment, including pallet jack, handheld unit, and personal protective equipment.
Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and safely operate mechanical equipment.
Attend required company and safety meetings.
Collaborate with peers and leadership to address issues that disrupt goals.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, department leaders, and accounts in the territory.
Work to grow and expand the territory and achieve sales, profit, and distribution objectives.
