About The Position

Mare Island Brewing Co. is seeking a Delivery Driver & Logistics Coordinator to manage both delivery driving and logistics coordination. This dual-role position involves hands-on delivery work, route planning, and reporting directly to the co-founder. The role is based out of the brewing facility, with a typical start time around 9 am, five days a week (weekdays only), though start times may vary based on delivery complexities.

Requirements

Must be 21 years or older.
No CDL required.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage shifting priorities.
Versatile and willing to assist wherever needed.
Clear, proactive communication skills.
Comfortable with spreadsheets and basic inventory tracking.
Ability to safely handle and maneuver full half-barrel kegs (approx. 160lbs) using proper technique and equipment (hand trucks, ramps, dollies).
Ability to lift and carry up to 75lbs unassisted.
Clean DMV record.
Honest and trustworthy.

Nice To Haves

Prior logistics, dispatch, or route coordination experience.
Forklift experience.
Knowledge of craft beer.

Responsibilities

Drive delivery routes, delivering cans and kegs to businesses throughout the Bay Area.
Merchandise product and troubleshoot beer draught systems at accounts.
Print and prepare daily routing paperwork for wholesale delivery routes.
Coordinate the next day's delivery routing in partnership with the Outside Sales Manager, managing scheduling conflicts and routing complexities.
Coordinate inter-company beer pulls to taproom locations with the F&B Director.
Partner with the Office Manager to confirm account payment status before dispatch.
Conduct monthly inventory counts.
Build boxes, trays, and participate in other production support tasks as needed.
Interact with customers at the point of delivery.
Safely operate company vehicles, including a branded cargo van and a 4-bay branded beer truck.
Ensure daily routes start and end at the brewing facility.
