About The Position

U.S. AutoForce, a division of U.S. Venture, Inc., is an industry leader in the distribution of tires, undercar parts, and lubricants to independent tire retailers, auto repair shops, and automotive dealerships. This role involves both driving and material handling responsibilities in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The position requires loading, unloading, and stocking of tires and auto parts, utilizing industrial vehicles like forklifts and picker equipment. Inventory control through scanning and put-away tasks is also a key part of the role. Additionally, the position involves driving a box truck to make deliveries to customers, ensuring timely and safe arrival in various weather conditions. Communication with customers and maintaining accurate logs are essential components of the driving duties.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • 1 year of professional driving experience (cube van, box truck or semi).
  • Satisfactory completion of company road test by qualified assessor.
  • 1 year of warehouse/logistics or relevant experience.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and good driving record in compliance with company driver policy.
  • Ability to be trained and safely use powered industrial trucks (forklifts) and high reach lifts.
  • Pass a forklift certification test.
  • Ability to safely lift 50 pounds consistently and occasionally lift up to 80 pounds.
  • Ability to exert a pushing force of up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to follow instructions and safe operating procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide quality customer service.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test (does not test for THC/marijuana).
  • Valid DOT Medical Card or the ability to obtain one during the hiring process.
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and must not require U.S. Venture’s sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable working at heights up to 25 feet safely while operating equipment.
  • Willing and able to work on your feet for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, and stock tires and auto parts in a warehouse environment.
  • Operate industrial vehicles such as forklifts or picker equipment.
  • Use scanners for inventory control, including finding and putting away tires.
  • Lift 50 pounds consistently and occasionally up to 80 pounds.
  • Perform team lifts or use mechanical equipment for heavy tires.
  • Exert a pushing force of up to 40 pounds when working with barrels or industrial/agricultural tires.
  • Work at heights up to 25 feet safely while operating equipment.
  • Work on feet for extended periods and work overtime as needed.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and operating procedures.
  • Assist other departments such as ecomm, inventory, and will call as needed.
  • Drive a box truck under 26,001 pounds or other vehicles on delivery routes, making 10-20 deliveries per day.
  • Complete and maintain accurate records and logs, including driver's logs and fuel purchase logs.
  • Make on-time deliveries to customer locations safely and punctually in all weather conditions.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles.
  • Operate a handheld device to ensure all deliveries are fulfilled.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and management.
  • Collect payments from customers upon delivery of product.
