About The Position

S.A. Comunale is seeking a Class B CDL Delivery Driver to transport materials and equipment to construction job sites while complying with state and federal regulations. The role reports directly to the Fabrication Shop Manager. The driver also supports material handling, inventory tasks, and upkeep of the shop and related areas. Overtime and off-hour shifts may be required.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 3 years of previous delivery driving or related work experience.
Current DOT Medical Card.
Class B CDL.
Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets or exceeds Company standards in the Fleet Policy.
Previous experience operating a forklift.
Basic experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.

Vocational or industry trade school experience.

Responsibilities

Verify and secure loads.
Inspect the vehicle for defects before and after trips and submit reports on its condition.
Drive the vehicle to assigned destinations.
Assist with loading and unloading the truck when required.
Maintain truck logs according to state and federal regulations, including ELD records.
Perform emergency roadside repairs, such as changing tires and installing light bulbs or fuses.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness.
Move materials and items from receiving to storage or other designated areas.
Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to a predetermined sequence.
Fill work orders and requests for materials, tools, or other stock items.
Maintain inventory records.
Maintain cleanliness of the shop, warehouse, storage yard, parking lot, and/or offices as needed.
Use a tow-behind trailer to make deliveries and pickups.
Deliver and pick up permit applications, permits, and approved drawings.
Work overtime and off-hour shifts as required.
