About The Position

Karin’s Florist Delivery Drivers represent the company and its services and products during each delivery. They ensure arrangements arrive at their destinations on time and complete, work with staff to solve problems and support customer service, and deliver assigned routes and orders each day. Drivers most often operate a company vehicle and are responsible for using and maintaining it according to company expectations. The role reports to the Delivery Manager. The driver may also run dispatch operations for short periods when the Delivery Manager is absent and assist with in-store tasks or other duties assigned by management. Compensation is $17.00–$23.00 per hour.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Familiarity with local roads and neighborhoods.
Ability to lift and carry floral arrangements and packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to expedite and deliver orders properly and locate addresses using the computerized ordering system.

Nice To Haves

Experience in floral delivery service or another industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

Safely deliver floral arrangements and related items to homes, businesses, event venues, and other assigned locations.
Provide friendly customer service and ensure delivered items are received in perfect condition.
Review and follow route sheets and delivery schedules, and promptly communicate delays or issues to the Delivery Manager.
Load and unload floral products carefully, ensuring arrangements are transported securely and presented attractively.
Keep delivery vehicles clean, organized, and clutter-free.
Follow safety protocols, including not smoking or texting while operating Karin’s Florist vehicles and complying with traffic and parking regulations.
Wear the required uniform and comply with the Grooming and Appearance Policy.
Follow the expectations in the Driver Responsibilities List.
Assist with in-store tasks or other duties assigned by management.
Run dispatch operations for short periods in the absence of the Delivery Manager.
