About The Position

Sales Team Members may work in various store departments, including the deli, seafood, prepared foods, and meat. The role is part of a team focused on building lasting customer relationships by understanding and exceeding customer needs. Team Members support the team, contribute to its success, and may grow toward leadership. In the deli, the role includes preparing and replenishing food cases, assisting customers, and maintaining food safety and sanitation standards.

Requirements

Food Safety experience is desired.
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness of the department work area, equipment, tables, utensils, and floors, and ensure sanitation regulations are met.
Greet customers and provide exemplary service by ensuring orders meet their expectations.
Answer customer questions and make suggestions to enhance the shopping experience.
Provide products and services that meet internal and external customer requirements and follow the Company's Statement of Values.
Handle products and equipment according to safety guidelines.
Set up and replenish food cases, preparing products according to Company standards and procedures and following code-dating procedures.
Maintain knowledge of code dating and rotate products and check code dates to support customer safety.
Accurately record special orders for prepared foods products.
Assist in maintaining cooler and freezer efficiency by unloading deliveries.
Follow procedures to help the store meet out-of-stock percentage goals.
Check in deliveries by comparing invoices with merchandise.
Assist in other areas as required.
