About The Position

North Central Co-op is seeking a Full-Time Deli Supervisor to join their team at the Hawkstone Food Store in Edmonton, AB. This role is with a member-owned, sustainable organization that benefits local communities. The company operates numerous locations across Central Alberta, including gas bars, home centers, fuel stations, food stores, and liquor stores, serving over 100,000 member-owners and employing over 650 staff. The Deli Supervisor will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a safe and efficient department operation, adhering to company policies, and meeting productivity standards. Open availability is required for this position.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years Retail Deli experience
Previous Retail Supervisory experience
Exceptional customer service, interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities

Provide an exceptional level of customer service and maintain a safe and efficient operation while adhering to all company policies, procedures, and standards, including meeting established productivity standards.
Responsible for the general merchandise of the department and the care and safe use of any tools or equipment required.
Supporting the Deli Manager with all tasks and duties, processing daily payables, operating the Point-of-Sale system (when required), completing general housekeeping duties, assisting team members when necessary, and any other duties as assigned.
Oversee inventory control, ordering and receiving for the department.
