About The Position
North Central Co-op is seeking a part-time Deli Clerk to join their team at the Chappelle Food Store in Edmonton, AB. The role involves providing customer service, packaging and labeling deli items, maintaining product displays, and ensuring food safety standards are met.
Requirements
- Exceptionally strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Enthusiastic approach to work
- Efficient and accurate when working in a busy environment
- Ability to handle all deli meats and products
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Nice To Haves
- Previous retail experience preferred
- Open availability is an asset
Responsibilities
- Provide prompt, friendly and knowledgeable service to customers at the Deli Counter
- Package, wrap, and label prepared foods, meats, cheeses and other deli items
- Maintain a display of deli products ensuring facing, filling and organization of products meets company standards
- Monitor case temperature, clean equipment and workspaces
- Other duties as required
