About The Position

Southern Foodservice Management, a national contract food service company, is hiring a Deli/Prep Worker for its Syneos Health location in Morrisville, North Carolina. The role involves preparing and assembling deli items, serving guests, maintaining food safety and sanitation, replenishing food, and helping with kitchen and dining-area cleanup. Team members may also be assigned to support meal production, service, and cleaning as needed during a normal work schedule.

Requirements

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Flexibility to work assigned shifts, including occasional early mornings or late afternoons.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to perform frequent standing, walking, object movement, stooping, reaching, handling, talking, hearing, and seeing; occasional climbing or balancing; and duties involving heavy lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.

• Previous experience in a deli, cafeteria, or food service setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble sandwiches, wraps, salads, and other deli items according to company recipes and customer preferences.
• Operate deli equipment, including slicers, grills, and ovens, safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized deli station and follow sanitation and food safety guidelines.
• Engage with guests and fulfill orders accurately while providing excellent customer service.
• Follow company policies and procedures to maintain consistent service and food quality.
• Replenish food items during service.
• Break down service areas after meal periods.
• Assist with general kitchen duties, including cleaning and dishwashing.
• Perform other assigned duties, including supporting meal production, service, and cleaning of the meal or dining facility.
