About The Position

The Deli Manager is responsible for the profitability of the deli operation, working in conjunction with the Store Manager. This role involves duties combining both food preparation and food service, ensuring the deli runs efficiently and profitably while maintaining high standards of food quality and customer service.

Responsibilities

Plan and prepare food for customers
Make out orders and check received orders for accuracy
Clean and organize kitchen to keep free from safety hazards
Interact and educate deli clerks on food preparation tips
Shop for food items for steam table and cases
Inventory all kitchen items and ensure they are placed back in proper room after use
Follow any other job-related instructions and perform any other job related duties requested by their supervisor
Make the pulls and put out fresh product
Ensure employees have started their jobs for the day's business
Make out schedules
Complete all paperwork and take inventory
Address labor, gross profit, and supply cost daily to ensure the operation makes money
Merchandise Departments for sales and gross profit
Perform Price/Tag/Sign Verification
Work toward Full-Fresh-Clean standards
Ensure all products are of the highest quality possible
Present food in an appealing fashion
Organize all food items and utensils
Be a team member
Maintain a neat, clean and organized department
Train new employees
Provide all customers friendly, courteous and prompt service
Greet, assist and respond to customer inquiries and complaints
