About The Position

Deli Helper Clerks provide excellent customer service at the deli counter and other deli stations. They perform basic food preparation, package deli items, and clean the deli area. The position also includes counter and barista service when needed during business operating hours, packaging and retail merchandising, and maintaining department sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards. Clerks become knowledgeable about deli products, specialty foods, baked goods, and prepared foods.

The position is located at PCC’s Madison Valley location in Seattle. The starting wage is $21.55 per hour, with an additional $1.50 per hour night differential when applicable.

Requirements

• Proven ability to provide excellent, professional customer service.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic math skills for measurement and scale functions.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including standing, twisting, bending, repetitive motion, and regularly lifting 10–40 pounds.
• A current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health.

Responsibilities
