About The Position

Deli/Barista Helper Clerks provide excellent customer service at the drink center and deli counter. They demonstrate knowledge of coffee, baked goods, and other deli products, and follow Drink Center department procedures. The role involves cleaning drink center and production areas, maintaining sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards, and providing counter service when needed during business hours.

Requirements

• Proven ability to provide excellent, professional customer service.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic math skills for measurement and scale functions.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including standing, twisting, bending, repetitive motion, and regularly lifting 10–40 pounds.
• A current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent, professional customer service.
• Demonstrate knowledge of deli products, especially coffee and smoothies.
• Follow Drink Center department procedures.
• Clean the drink center and production areas.
• Ensure department sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards are met.
• Become knowledgeable about deli products, specialty foods, baked goods, and prepared foods.
• Provide counter service when needed during business operating hours.
