About The Position

As a Deli Clerk at Broulim’s, you will serve customers in the deli department and provide a selection of high-quality deli products. The role includes slicing meats and cheeses, preparing deli trays, and helping create a positive shopping experience. You will work with deli products and department equipment in a fast-paced environment, following safety and sanitation practices and contributing to the team’s success.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Customer-focused, with a positive and friendly attitude.
• Knowledge of basic deli products and preparation techniques.
• Ability to safely handle deli department equipment.
• At least 16 years old to operate fryers and ovens; at least 18 years old to operate the slicer.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and variable shifts.
• Adaptability to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

• Previous experience in a deli or customer service role.
• Familiarity with deli products, including meats, cheeses, and prepared foods.

Responsibilities

• Assist deli customers by providing product information and recommendations.
• Slice, weigh, and package deli meats and cheeses according to customer specifications.
• Create and assemble deli trays and platters for special orders, events, and catering orders.
• Keep the deli counter clean and organized, including regularly sanitizing equipment.
• Receive, inspect, and stock deli products, rotating inventory to maintain freshness.
• Operate deli equipment, including slicers and scales, in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals and contribute to a positive working environment.
