About The Position

Deli Helper Clerks provide excellent customer service at the deli counter and other deli stations. They perform basic food preparation, package deli items, and clean the deli area. The role may also provide counter and barista service during business operating hours when needed. Clerks are expected to become knowledgeable about deli products, specialty foods, baked goods, and prepared foods, and to meet department sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards.

The position is located in Bellevue, Washington. The listed pay range is $17.63 to $21.25 per hour. An additional $1.50 per hour night differential applies when applicable, and Deli Helper Clerks receive a $0.75 increase upon reaching the 4,160-hour step.

Requirements

• Proven ability to provide excellent, professional customer service.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic math skills for measurement and scale functions.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including standing, twisting, bending, repetitive motion, and regularly lifting 10–40 pounds.
• A current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health is required.

Nice To Haves

• Previous food preparation experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of specialty and prepared foods is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent, professional customer service.
