About The Position

Deli Helper Clerks provide customer service at the deli counter and other deli stations. They perform basic food preparation, package deli items, support counter and barista service when needed, and clean deli and production areas. They help maintain department sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards and become knowledgeable about deli products, specialty foods, baked goods, and prepared foods. The position is located at 3610 S Edmunds St, Seattle, Washington.

Requirements

• Proven ability to provide excellent, professional customer service.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic math skills for measurement and scale functions.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including standing, twisting, bending, repetitive motion, and regularly lifting 10–40 pounds.
• A current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health.

Nice To Haves

• Previous food preparation experience preferred.
• Knowledge of specialty and prepared foods preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent, professional customer service.

• Provide counter and barista service when needed during business operating hours.
• Wash dishes and clean deli and production areas.
• Package products and perform retail merchandising.
• Ensure department sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards are met.
