About The Position

The Deli/Food Service Team Leader performs food service functions while maintaining state and federal health codes and providing exemplary customer satisfaction through a clean, friendly, and well-stocked work environment. The role includes preparing Buc-ee’s foodservice offerings according to prescribed recipes, ensuring safe food handling, using point-of-sale and transaction devices, and assisting customers professionally. Team members complete assigned shift-duty-list tasks and communicate responsively with store management and fellow associates. The position requires reliable attendance, effective task completion in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, and the ability to work a rotating schedule alternating between day and night shifts, including the store’s busiest days. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Restaurant or retail experience preferred.
• Ability to work a rotating schedule alternating between day and night.
• Ability to work the store’s busiest days.
• Ability to concentrate, interact with others, work under stress, and complete tasks efficiently.
• Ability to walk or stand for 8–12 continuous hours.
• Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, balance, push, pull, and lift product or material weighing 40 pounds or more.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Buc-ee’s unique foodservice offerings according to prescribed recipes.

• Use various POS and transaction devices competently.
• Help customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Complete prescribed elements listed on the shift duty list.
• Communicate responsively with store management and fellow associates.
• Maintain regular and prompt attendance and complete tasks effectively and efficiently.
• Work collaboratively and professionally with others in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Work on the store’s busiest days and a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night.
