About The Position

This position is for a full-time Deli Clerk responsible for various tasks within the deli-bakery department. Key duties include stocking, pricing, packaging merchandise, maintaining cleanliness, operating equipment safely, and preparing products. The role requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in temperature extremes. Secondary functions include receiving deliveries, ordering products in the manager's absence, and potentially decorating cakes. Requirements

Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to lift and move items weighing over 50 pounds.
Ability to work in temperature extremes, (frozen foods & storage cooler maximum low temperature, -10 degrees).

Responsibilities

Rotates, stocks, and straightens merchandise and supplies.
Correctly prices all merchandise according to departmental guidelines.
Follows proper wrapping and packaging procedures.
Performs basic housekeeping duties using available equipment.
Operates all required tools and equipment in a safe manner.
Cleans all required deli-bakery department tools and equipment.
Follows proper procedure for producing all bakery/deli products.
Maintains a neat and clean work area.
Performs all essential job functions at an acceptable level of speed and accuracy.
Performs all job functions with limited supervision.
May be required to decorate cakes.
Receives and unloads truck deliveries using available equipment and according to established guidelines.
Orders product according to established guidelines in the absence of deli manager.
Other duties as assigned.
