About The Position

Responsible for directing the merchandising and operational responsibilities in Murray's and specialty cheese shops for the division. Responsible for associate-level training in the development and delivery of industry leading merchandising, interactive customer service, cheese knowledge, and operations that is Murray's and Specialty Cheese. Ensure that Murray's brand is well represented and work closely with the Murray's team, cheese masters, cheese stewards, store leaders, district management, and Deli/Bakery merchandisers. Requirements

Any successful experience as an assistant store leader or cheese master
Ability to take on and excel at tasks outside of expertise
Ability to achieve designated objectives through delegation to and follow up on others
Strategic analysis and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate to all levels on the organization
Self -motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision
Strong leadership and training skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree
1 year or more culinary arts or cheese experience
2+ years of retail management experience

Responsibilities

Oversee the development and integration of the Murray's shopping experience into the customer shopping experience within the store
Assist the cheese shops in driving sales through unique Murray's experience (i.e., education, service, effective cross selling, merchandising, pushing and promoting designated products)
Assist the cheese shops in proper ordering, merchandising, paperwork and product handling
Conduct store inspections and work with store associates to correct violations
Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products
Provide support to ensure proper staffing levels based upon Murray's recommended minimum and maximum labor requirements
Coordinate the re-model and/or building of all divisional Murray's or specialty cheese shops
Conduct competitive price checks on a monthly basis
Ensure that new items, cost changes and retail changes are implemented at the appropriate time
Maintain the monthly communication of sales, hours and consumer data to the Murray's staff
Maintain a high level of communication with division Merchandising team, store team, district management and Murray's team
Oversee store associates in management of inventory, proper ordering, minimal out of stocks, and spoilage control
Oversee timely implementation of promotions
Make monthly recommendations on new items and discontinued items
Travel as needed to other locations
