About The Position

This role works independently to prepare, fry, package, display, and stock deli products while contributing to the financial best interest of the store. The associate is responsible for meeting company guidelines for guest experience, safety, and food safety. The position is based at 120 Sanford School Road, Suite B, Elkhart, Indiana 46514. Travel requirements vary by assignment.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce deli products according to the production planner.
• Package and label deli products according to the program plan.
• Merchandise deli products according to the flight plan and merchandising expectations.
• Stock the backroom with deli products, rotating and dating cases and buckets.
• Work with other departments and stores to support growth in SpartanNash retail stores.
• Notify the Deli Manager when products or supplies need to be ordered.
• Communicate completed tasks, recipes, weights and measures, and cleaning steps to other associates.
• Follow personal protective equipment and safety guidelines.
• Follow food safety and cleaning expectations.
• Follow guest experience guidelines.
• Perform tasks in other departments when needed to meet customer experience needs.
• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned.
