About The Position

Caraluzzi's Markets is seeking a friendly, customer-focused Deli Associate to provide excellent service while preparing, packaging, and merchandising deli and prepared food products. The role supports the Deli Department by offering fresh meal solutions, helping customers with everyday needs, and creating an exceptional customer experience.

The associate prepares and serves deli foods, including sandwiches, meals, soups, and other prepared items; slices, weighs, packages, labels, and displays deli products; and assists customers with catering orders and entertaining needs. The position also involves learning about specialty cheeses, sliced meats, and prepared food offerings, while keeping the work area clean, organized, and sanitary and following food safety guidelines.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a deli, food service, grocery, or customer service environment is preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn about deli products, food preparation, and culinary techniques.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to provide excellent service to customers.
• Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules as needed.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to work in a multi-temperature environment, including refrigerated areas.

Responsibilities
