About The Position

As a defense mission professional, you ask questions others don’t. You understand the nuances of complex situations. You use your skills to think bigger and push further, solving complex problems. We’re looking for an expert like you to create solutions for missions that keep our nation safe. As a defense mission analyst, you’ll bring your analytical expertise and defense acquisition knowledge to work on projects for national defense. You’ll analyze data that correlates mission risk to acquisition programs. You’ll be a trusted advisor to our clients, and we’ll look to you to identify, analyze, and evaluate complex systems, policies and processes to execute data driven decision making.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience with DoW Acquisition Program Management
  • Experience with the Defense Acquisition Visibility Environment (DAVE)
  • Experience using DoD data platforms such as Advana and Maven Smart System (MSS) for data ingestion, integration, analysis, and visualization
  • Experience documenting data analytics processes and maintaining reproducible analytic methods
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets while ensuring data quality, performance, and reliability
  • Knowledge of distinctions between Defense Acquisition Categories (ACATs) and how they are managed
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to technical teams, operators, and executive stakeholders
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience developing or supporting mission-focused data workflows, applications, and analytic capabilities
  • Experience engaging data owners to establish sharing agreements that enable the establishment of data pipelines
  • Experience supporting mission thread development, campaign assessment, operational planning, or risk modeling to inform strategic decision-making
  • Experience with DoD and Intelligence Community data ecosystems and collaboration with interagency partners
  • Experience developing data governance frameworks and standards
  • Experience supporting FRAGO, OPORD, CONOPS, or other operational planning efforts through data engineering and analytics.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity data and analytics
