About The Position

The Default Title Specialist is responsible for facilitating the order and fulfillment of various default title products. This role collaborates with clients, vendors, title companies, and internal departments to ensure timely processing, quality control, and delivery of title search packages while maintaining established client service level standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–3 years of title, mortgage, curative, or financial services experience required.
  • Strong understanding of title search components including vesting, liens, encumbrances, legal descriptions, and taxes
  • Excellent oral communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with internal staff and external customers.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a positive and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently and complete assignments within prescribed procedures and standard accepted practices.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Windows operating systems, and internet-based applications.
  • Strong computer and data entry proficiency.
  • Regular and punctual attendance adhering to schedule established by leadership.
  • All employees are required to have smart phones that meet Company security standards with the ability to install apps such as Microsoft Authenticator. Employment will be contingent on this requirement.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of Curative, REO, Foreclosure, or Purchase Title experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review title search products for quality, completeness, and accuracy, including but not limited to vesting, liens and encumbrances, legal descriptions, taxes, and related matters.
  • Investigate, research, and resolve issues identified within title search packages prior to client delivery.
  • Work with outsource partners to prepare and quality control title search packages for customer delivery.
  • Make revisions and updates to title search packages upon client request.
  • Facilitate ordering and tracking of default title products to ensure timely turnaround.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to meet established service level standards.
  • Submit invoices for services rendered in accordance with client requirements.
  • Ability to effectively and accurately convey information to others.
  • Performs related duties as assigned by management.
