About The Position

Upper Lakes Foods is seeking a Dedicated Long Haul OTR Driver in Cloquet, MN. This role involves operating a tractor-trailer, ensuring safety and efficiency, and maintaining compliance with state and federal transportation laws. The driver will be responsible for conducting inspections, managing logs, meeting delivery appointments, upholding load integrity, and handling paperwork. Requirements

Valid CDL Class A.
Clean driving record with no moving violations or DOT reportable accidents in the last three years.
Solid understanding of DOT regulations.
Proficiency in using GPS systems, including XRS.
Adaptability and effective communication skills.
Strong time-management skills.
Attention to detail for trip planning and documentation accuracy.
Ability to work in all weather conditions.
Physical stamina, including prolonged periods of sitting.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to maneuver within the truck.
2 years of experience (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

Operate a tractor-trailer in compliance with state and federal transportation laws.
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, turning in DVIR reports weekly.
Maintain DOT hours of service logs (electronic or manual).
Manage time effectively to meet scheduled customer delivery appointments.
Uphold load integrity.
Handle essential paperwork, including signed invoices and shipping bills of lading.
Build effective relationships with customers and the community.
Attend work regularly and perform other duties as needed.
Support internal supply chains with consistent routes and schedules.
