About The Position

Elkay Interior Systems is hiring a Decor Associate I to support the fabrication and assembly of wood décor components, including half walls, cabinetry elements, top cap décor, and shutters. Under the direction of a manufacturing supervisor or lead, the associate helps ensure products meet quality standards, customer specifications, and production timelines while maintaining a safe work environment. This is an entry-level manufacturing role intended for someone who wants to develop technical production skills in a collaborative fabrication environment.

Requirements

• Ability to read basic shop drawings, instructions, and specifications.
• Comfort using measuring tools and basic hand and power tools.
• Basic math skills, including measurements and calculations.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification if required.
• Reliable attendance and strong attention to quality and safety.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Cut, fabricate, and prepare wood décor products.
• Assemble half walls, cabinetry components, top cap décor, and window shutters.
• Operate table saws, nailers, staplers, routers, drills, and miter boxes.
• Apply laminates according to specifications.
• Package finished products according to procedures or customer requirements.
• Label finished goods accurately according to job orders.
• Follow safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
• Support accurate time tracking and production documentation.
