As a Deburring Technician, you will be responsible for removing burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections from machined parts to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards. You will work closely with production and quality teams to ensure parts are properly finished, documented, and prepared for final use or assembly.

Requirements

  • High school or equivalent
  • 2 years of Manufacturing experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Skilled in operating sandblasters, roto tools, and parts cleaners using correct procedures
  • Capable of chamfering and re-drilling parts efficiently
  • Expert in visually identifying burrs and swells on intricate parts
  • Proficient in performing knifing and buffing on detailed components
  • Understand and accurately complete all job-related paperwork
  • Knowledgeable in all deburring methods to deburr intricate parts independently
  • Ability to repair parts as needed to ensure quality
  • Proficient in using micrometers, calipers, and other measurement tools
  • Basic blueprint reading skills to ensure accurate part processing
  • Accurately read and interpret part blueprints and documentation to meet part quality criteria
  • Maintain safe operations by strictly adhering to safety procedures and regulations
  • Document actions meticulously by completing production and quality logs
  • Stay updated with industry advancements by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English, strong ability to create/write work instructions and train others
  • Solid collaboration skills, ability to listen to ideas, others, and implement the best enhancements, ability to work with others, be open minded to ideas and try new things
  • Ability to be positive, conceptualize, and initiate projects effectively
  • Versatility/flexibility is also key to perform various portions of multiple projects

Responsibilities

  • Deburr machined parts using hand tools, air tools, and finishing equipment
  • Perform visual inspections to identify burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections
  • Read and interpret basic blueprints and work instructions to meet quality requirements
  • Operate equipment such as sandblasters, roto tools, and parts cleaners
  • Perform tasks such as chamfering, drilling, knifing, and buffing on detailed components
  • Accurately complete production and quality documentation
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace and ensure proper care of tools and equipment
  • Follow all safety procedures and company standards
  • Support team goals by maintaining quality and production efficiency
