About The Position

The Entry Deburrer role is responsible for independently operating all associated equipment and tooling necessary to smooth parts made on the Laser and Punch machines. This role involves understanding and utilizing JDE programming for tasks like sending and tracking Kanban cards. The position requires operating and maintaining various deburring tools and machines, collecting final parts, identifying and sorting parts, and managing scrap disposal based on material types. A strong emphasis is placed on safety procedures, maintaining a clean work environment, and embodying team member expected behaviors and company core values. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • 1-3 years of experience in metal fabrication or CNC machine operation.
  • Ability to frequently move objects up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for 8 consecutive hours a day.
  • Good Vision (ability to see intricate details).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot.
  • Knowledge of basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
  • Ability to understand manufacturing processes such as Kanban, JDE, BOM viewer, method sheets, etc.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment drug screen, background check screen, and motor vehicle screen (if applicable).

Responsibilities

  • Operate all associated equipment and tooling necessary to smooth parts made on the Laser and Punch machines.
  • Correctly use JDE programming functions, including sending Kanban cards and tracking their status and history.
  • Operate and maintain all deburr tooling and following machines: Fladder, Costa, Aluminum Machine, and Vibradyne.
  • Collect final parts as the Laser and Punch machines produce them.
  • Identify quality cuts, identify parts, sort, and stack.
  • Identify material types and practice proper disposal of scrap.
  • Demonstrate consistency in practicing all safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean work environment.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
