Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• 1-3 years of experience in metal fabrication or CNC machine operation.
• Ability to frequently move objects up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to stand for 8 consecutive hours a day.
• Good Vision (ability to see intricate details).
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot.
• Knowledge of basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
• Ability to understand manufacturing processes such as Kanban, JDE, BOM viewer, method sheets, etc.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment drug screen, background check screen, and motor vehicle screen (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Understands how to correctly use JDE programming functions such as sending Kanban cards and tracking their status and history.
• Operates and maintains all deburr tooling and following machines: Fladder, Costa, Aluminum Machine, and Vibradyne.
• Helps to collect final parts as the Laser and Punch machines produce them.
• Identifies quality cuts, identifies parts, sorts, and stacks them.
• Identifies material types and practices proper disposal of scrap.
• Demonstrates consistency in practicing all safety procedures.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment.
• Models Team Member Expected Behaviors and Henny Penny core values.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
