The Deburr position sets up and operates power tools, hand tools, and standard deburring equipment to remove nicks, scratches, rough edges, and sharp edges from parts. The role requires careful judgment to achieve acceptable cosmetic appearance without over-burring and to keep parts within drawing tolerances and specification limits. The employee interprets work orders and special instructions, uses basic blueprint and customer engineering documentation skills, and performs repetitive work while maintaining productivity and quality. The position also involves recognizing non-conforming or potentially salvageable parts, confirming technical information with engineering, supervisory, or inspection personnel, and communicating with supervisors and coworkers across shifts. The employee maintains a neat work area and tools in good working order, identifies process improvements, follows safety and environmental requirements, completes required training, and performs other duties as assigned. The work requires standing or sitting for most of the shift, repetitive movements, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
